I just realized my earliest vehicular memory was of my Dad's 1982-4? Diesel Cutlass - a car I had completely forgotten about... It was grey with a sandy tan interior and smelled like burnt oil. I remember the headliner foam had deteriorated and wouldnt spring back to shape if you touched it - much to my father's dismay my brother and I used the opportunity to press our fingers into the headliner and make patters/ drawings, etc. Eventually the headliner tore and the fun was over lol.
The injection pump went bad so he threw one in from a diesel truck. It must have been timed differently because the thing was a goddamn rocket after that, rolling coal away from every light. Good times.
